Da Looted Stuff pt 1

For my Ork army i obtained a Leman Russ Battle Tank about a year ago. Even though it had been converted to Orkdom already, i felt it need some sprucing up before it would fit in with my army.

This pic was taken after i came from a Tanksgivig event last thanksgiving at my local Battle Bunker. This was before i began the fun.....

Second phase. I created some platforms for the "sponsons".....

After adding the orks with Big Shootas as Heavy Bolter Sponsons, i repainted some of the now impressive beast....

The Black Templars

During the long absence, I have been completing work on the Templars. Many of the characters in the army are almost completed. After I actually got the model of Chaplain Grimaldus he has been in all of my larger battles, as he helps spur the army onwards faster. He is also my absolute favorite Space Marine model.

This is an in-production pic of mighty Grimaldus. As he and his Cenobyte retinue are completed there will be more pics.

Next, my Venerable Dreadnought. This is one of my models that gets most compliments on the field, and is one of my personal favorites.

Apocalyse is here.....

On friday at my local GW there was an Apocalyse release battle for 40k. This was a battle of epic proportions.....

On each sides there was at least 20,000 points (3800 of mine) including a Warhound titan and a Reaver, plus four Eldar titans. This was a ridiculously vicious battle, which only lasted for 2 full turns....

In the Imperial's first turn we almost completely wiped out all of the Dark Eldar and Khorne forces including a Brass Scorpion. The non-Imperial turn saw about 1/3 of the left flank's vehicles. The second turn was far less impressive for the amount of damage done, but hey thats what happens when the Grey Knights cant figure out what to do... Five of my Terminator squads did arrive and destroy 5 imperial guard artillery vehicles.. The enemy got 3 of their titans onto the field and proceeded to destroy the warhound and one of my Crusader Squads.
All in all i was a very enjoyable game aside from the bickering among commanders....

Hopefully i will get pics of the battle soon.

Taeklonn's Dammaz Kron: Issue 1

DWARFS RULE ALL! (NO EXCEPTIONS)!!! Now that we have gotten that little tidbit out of the way, I may introduce myself.... My name is Taeklonn Broadaxe. Now I have been involved with Warhammer 40k for about 7 years now (Orks, Black Templars), Lord of the Rings for 4 years (Rivendell Elves), and Warhammer for only 1 (Dwarfs of course). Although i play these games i have been taught to have an open mind to many games. I also am involved with WoW, which i have played for about 1.5 years. My two characters (both dwarves) are lvl 42, and 47.(i dont play often)

As i have amassed a very large Dwarf army for Warhammer i have taken to creating a new army (much to the dismay of one of the staff members of my local GW) : The Chaos Dwarfs..... The majority of this army will be conversions as the current chaos dwarf models are expensive and look too outdated for my needs.....

All of the Dwarf models in the army are converted from the Battle for Skull Pass Dwarfs (though i haven't figured out how i will make blunderbusses). To make the Dwarfs I shaved off the face and beard of the original model, and used Green Stuff or ProCreate putty to sculpt new ones. the arms are from Chaos Marauders...

This army is serious work in progress as i only have the Hero, 15 Warriors and 20 Orc boyz ready to go... ( If you are wondering about the orcs, Chaos Dwarfs use greenskins as slaves)
